This was certainly NOT a bout to be missed. Both teams rallied up the crowd with a nail biting and high adrenaline event! Well done again Leeds and thank you very much Rainy City Rollergirls for hosting.
LRD would also like to thank our Coach Jerry Attric and Rosewhip for being the best line up managers on the day, our wonderful supporters, merch ladies and gents and finally our Refs- the Enforce, Matt the Knife and Deadly Nedly.

The thanks and and support doesn't stop there. We have one massive shout out to give to a very tough roller doll - X Con Vick! One of our mamma dolls fractured her leg in two places during the first half of the bout. She was calm and composed at the scene convincing everyone it was just a twisted ankle! But now she is home and resting with her family and has the support from the rest of the dolls.

Leeds Roller Dolls Summer Horror Day

LEEDS ROLLER DOLLS DEBUT HOME BOUT: SUMMER HORROR DAY!!!
LRD Rotten Rollers vs. Sheffield Steel Rollergirls
22nd August, Saviles Hall, Leeds

Leeds Roller Dolls are to take on the mighty Sheffield Steel Rollergirls in West Yorkshire's first ever public roller derby bout!

Summer Horror Day will be held at Leeds' Royal Armouries in the Savilles Hall conferencing centre and will boast real-life (?) zombies, monster-mashing music, 2 bars (one for beers, one for cocktails!), merch heaven (to get all your roller derby t-shirts, bags, knickers etc) and 28 roller girls battling it out for the Yorkshire crown!
Come dressed as a zombie and stand a chance to win a fabulous half time prize for most authentic, gory, blood dripping zombie.

Two days, 12 leagues from the UK and Europe, 16 action-packed roller derby bouts! Don't miss the roller derby event of the year on 18-19 July 2009 at Earls Court, located in central London.

Thank you all who came to support us at our first public bout. LRD put up a good fight and played fair and square but we lost to BBDD. LRD would like to thank BBDD for hosting our first public bout, it was a great experience!

We would also like to give a big thank you to Lily Lethal, Crazy Legs and Candy Savage from Auld Reekie Roller Girls for being apart of our team, Coach Jerry Attric, Captain Rushin' Doll and Rikkter Scale for getting us to where we are now!
